Startups and solo builders
Show a product, prototype, MVP or working business. The point is what you have made, not the paperwork around it.
Nexus Innovation Showcase
A curated afternoon for early products, prototypes and practical projects that are ready to be shown, tested and moved forward.
What belongs in the room
A solo founder does not need a limited company. A project team, business, organisation, university, college or community project can apply when there is a real innovation to show.
Show a product, prototype, MVP or working business. The point is what you have made, not the paperwork around it.
Bring a build that came out of a Nexus Hackathon, Challenge or another useful collaboration.
Show a new service, technology, pilot or challenge. Ordinary advertising stands are not a fit.
Bring a concrete research project, prototype or programme that people can understand and discuss.
How the afternoon runs
Walk between the stations, see what people are building and meet the people behind the work.
A short Nexus welcome, then selected projects get four to seven minutes to show problem, solution, evidence and what they need next.
Try a tool, ask a founder a proper question and continue the conversations that are worth having.
One grounded conversation about moving from prototype to first customer, pilot or practical partnership.
Nexus helps make targeted introductions, then closes at 17:00 with clear follow through.
The station
Each selected project has a simple station with a table, two chairs, a project sign, laptop or screen space and a QR code to its Nexus profile.
Nexus Showcase card
Project name, founder or team, stage and a clear description of what the project does.
Live demonstration
An app, prototype, visual demo, research insight or practical conversation.
Useful ask
Pilot partners, customer feedback, expert support, collaboration, introductions or funding conversation.
Recognition
Visitors select People’s Choice. A small Nexus group selects one Nexus Pilot Pick for focused follow through.
