Terms of Use
The terms that apply when you visit Nexus Innovation Hub, create an account, submit information or purchase a Builder membership.
Effective: 26 August 20261. About these terms
These terms form an agreement between you and Nexus Innovation Hub when you use this website or its services. If you use Nexus on behalf of an organisation, you confirm that you are authorised to do so.
Some programmes, events, challenges or partner services may have additional terms. We will identify those before you apply or take part.
2. Eligibility and accounts
You must provide accurate information and use an email address you are entitled to access. You are responsible for activity carried out through your sign-in session and should tell us promptly if you believe your account has been misused.
Membership applications and contributor roles may be reviewed before access is approved. We may refuse or remove access where reasonably necessary to protect members, partners, the platform or its integrity.
3. Community standards
You must not misuse Nexus, impersonate another person, upload unlawful or misleading material, scrape private member information, interfere with security, send unsolicited promotions, or use the platform to discriminate, harass or harm others.
Introductions are made to support useful collaboration. Members remain responsible for their own decisions, checks, contracts, investments and professional advice.
4. Your content
You keep ownership of information and materials you submit. You give Nexus a limited permission to store, process and display them as needed to provide the service and honour the visibility settings you select.
You confirm that you have the right to share submitted content and that it does not infringe another person’s rights. Private Startup Passport details and pitch-deck links are not intentionally published unless you choose a public directory setting. Connection profiles remain hidden unless you opt into the members-only directory, and you may hide yours again at any time.
5. Nexus content and opportunities
The Nexus name, site design and original materials are protected by intellectual-property law. You may use them for personal or internal business purposes connected with your participation, but may not reproduce or resell them as a competing service without permission.
Third-party opportunities, events, funding calls and links are provided for discovery. Unless expressly stated, Nexus does not control or endorse the third party and does not guarantee eligibility, availability, funding, selection or outcomes. Always verify details with the official provider.
6. Builder subscriptions
Nexus Builder is available at the price and billing period shown before checkout. Stripe processes payment securely. Monthly and annual plans renew automatically at the end of each billing period until cancelled.
You can cancel through the Stripe customer portal in your member dashboard. Cancellation stops future renewal and access normally continues until the end of the paid billing period. Your statutory cancellation and refund rights are explained in our Cancellation & Refunds Policy.
We may change prices or benefits for future billing periods after giving reasonable notice. We will not change an already-paid billing period retrospectively.
7. Availability and changes
We aim to keep Nexus available and useful, but do not promise uninterrupted access. We may update, pause or remove features where necessary for security, maintenance, legal compliance or product development.
8. Responsibility
Nothing in these terms excludes liability that cannot lawfully be excluded, including liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, fraud, or your statutory consumer rights.
Subject to that, Nexus is not responsible for indirect loss, lost opportunities or decisions made on the basis of third-party information. If you use Nexus wholly or mainly for business purposes, our total liability relating to a paid service will not exceed the fees you paid for that service in the preceding 12 months.
9. Ending access
You may stop using Nexus at any time and may ask us to close your account. We may suspend or end access for a serious or repeated breach of these terms, unlawful conduct, security risk or non-payment. Where reasonable, we will explain the reason and allow an opportunity to respond.
10. Privacy and governing law
Our Privacy Policy explains how personal information is handled, and our Cookie Policy explains essential cookies. These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. If you are a consumer, you retain any mandatory rights to bring proceedings in the part of the UK where you live.
11. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms as Nexus develops. Material changes affecting an active paid membership will be communicated reasonably in advance. The current version and effective date will remain available on this page.
